Goldie M. Prewitt

Goldie M. Prewitt was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on March 3, 1931 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the age of 85. Goldie was the daughter of Evertt and Lizzie (Anderson) Hixon. She was a resident of Stroud all of her life. She retired from Stroud Middle School. She married Olen L 'Pete' Prewitt in Chandler on October 16, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 5, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Hixon, two sisters, Ruby and Ruthie. Survivors include, one son and daughter in law, Olen 'Bud' and Terry Prewitt of Stroud, two daughters and sons in law, Fran and Wayne Wood of Stroud, and Ruth and Marlin Thomas of Oklahoma City one sister, Sylvia Summers, five grandchildren, Jeremy, Delanie, Justin, Ginny and Amy, seven great granchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Chapel on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. with Rex Barrett and Rev. Ron Keeling offication. Burial will follow in the Little Cemetery, Seminole, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
