Gloria Kirby

Gloria Kirby, long-time Davenport, Oklahoma, resident was born on April 30, 1937, in Peoria, Illinois, and departed this life on August 27, 2018, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 81 years. Gloria was the daughter of Gerald and Ruth (Bainard) Morris. She married Howard Kirby on June 27, 1955, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Gloria worked for Halliburton Oil Company for many years in clerical and book keeping, and also worked as a bank teller. She loved horses, and trail riding. Gloria participated in numerous Rodeos and won many events. She was very loved by her kids and grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death were her parents, Gerald and Ruth; husband, Howard; sister Kathleen, and grandson Hunter. Survivors include, her children, John Kirby and wife Ellen of Tuttle, Oklahoma, Patsy Pappan and husband Charles of Norman, Oklahoma, and Martin Kirby and wife Cindy of Chandler, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry; three sisters, Doris, Cindy, and Lee; grandchildren, Aaron, Bryce, Misty, Cody, Levi, Kristen, and Heather; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Zander, Mason, Brian, Cade, Asher, Keira, and peanut; other relatives and many friends. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
