Davenport, Oklahoma, resident, Glenn Nichols, was born on January 17, 1915, in Morris, Oklahoma, and departed this life on June 2, 2006, in Chandler, at the age of 91 years. Glenn was the son of John Albert and Grace Ely Nichols. He graduated from the Keifer High School in 1933. Glenn married Maxine McGuire, on January 17, 1937, in Keifer. She preceded him in death on January 7, 1974. He was a long-time merchant in Davenport, charter member of the Davenport Camber of Commerce, and Davenport Lions club. Glenn was on the board of directors of the Central Oklahoma Federal Credit Union, served many years on the Davenport City Council, was a member of the Davenport Masonic Lodge, a life long member of the First Christian Church in Davenport, and attended the Word of Life Family Church in Chandler. His parents; wife; one son, Ronald Gene; and two brothers also preceded Glenn in death. Survivors include, Son & daughter-in-law:Glenn T. and Shirley Nichols of Chandler, Three sisters, Irene Brady of Tulsa, Ruth Yarger of Conway, AR, Nola Powell of Jonesboro, AR, Three grandchildren, Twelve great-grandchildren, Three great-great-grandchildren, Other relatives and many friends.
