Glenn Thomas Nichols was born on January 21, 1938, in Chandler, OK, and departed this life on Monday, October 3, 2011, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 73 years. Glenn, the son of Glenn and Maxine (McGuire) Nichols, was a life-long Chandler resident. He married Shirley Berry on June 15, 1958, in Chandler. Glenn owned and operated Abstract & Guaranty Company in Chandler till his retirement. He served on the Chandler School Board, Chandler Lions club, past president of the Oklahoma Land Title Association, board of directors of the First Bank of Chandler, and a member of the Foundation Board of Oklahoma State University. Glenn and Shirley are long-time members of the First United Methodist Church in Chandler. His parents and one brother preceded Glenn in death, Survivors include, wife of 53 years, Shirley of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Berry & Ralene Nichols of Muskogee, OK, Charles & Elizabeth Nichols of Chandler, one daughter & son-in-law, Tammy & Joe Frejo of Yukon, OK, twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler. With Rev. Allen Carson officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
