Glen Roberts

Glen Roberts was born on October 28, 1935, in Rossville, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, December 18, 2017, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Glen, the son of Billie and Vivian (Robinette) Roberts, was a resident of Meeker, Oklahoma.. He attended school at Whiterock and graduated from Meeker High School. Glen was in the Army Reserve for six years. He married Joyce Ann Beal on December 23, 1977. Glen worked as a house mover most of his life and worked for his son as a mechanic the last 20 years. His hobbies included working all the time, building, and mechanics. Glen’s parents; sisters Reba Ash, Willa Mae Ash, and Margaret Roberts; and brothers, Garvin and Bennie Roberts preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years, Joyce of the home; sons, Tim Roberts of Seminole and J.W. Wilson of Shawnee daughters Penny Wilson of Tecumseh and Angela Whited of Shawnee; brother, Clarence Roberts of Enid; sister, Annie Lindsey and her husband, Jimmy of Meeker; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
