Glen Ray Key, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on February 17, 1916, in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life on April 25, 2007, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 91 years. Glen was the son of Samuel D. and Chloe Edith Bridge Key. He married Martha Marie George, June 16, 1938, in Chandler. Glen served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Chandler, Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, when the Turner Turnpike was built, Chamber of Commerce President of Chandler and Sulphur, Oklahoma, Grand River Dam Authority, Kiwanis, Rotary, Pilot, Democratic Chairman, ran for State Treasurer twice, Delegate to the Democratic National Convention, Mason, Family Motor Coach Association President. He was involved in the Wellston State Bank, First National Bank of Sulphur, Farmers State Bank of Quinton, Poteau State Bank and Sulphur Community Bank. His parents, wife, and daughter, Anita Snapp; preceded Glen in death. Survivors include, Son & daughter-in-law, Phillip R. & Connie Key of Sulphur, OK, Daughter & son-in-law, Kathryn & Bill Jordan of Stigler, OK, Brother, Gerald Key of Chandler, OK, Sisters & brother-in-law, Ola Cochran of Chandler, OK, Lilly Mae & Gail Fenderson of Meeker, OK, Six grandchildren, Twelve great grandchildren, Many nieces & nephews, Other relatives and many friends.
