Glen Allen Wood

Glen Allen Wood was born on July 18, 1949, in Edmond, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 59. Glen, the son of Floyd William and Ruby Helen Whitlow Wood, was a long-time resident of Prague. He graduated from high school in Edmond and proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He married Kay Whiteside in November of 1972. Glen worked as a sewing machine mechanic and a shipping clerk at Wrangler. Glen''s favorite pastime was fishing. He enjoyed children and his toy Chihuahua, Janie. His father, Floyd, and sister, Ruth Carolyn Wood, preceded Glen in death. Survivors include wife, Kay Wood of the home; mother, Ruby Wood of Edmond; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Judy Wood of Edmond, Harold and Judi Wood of Tulsa, Kenneth and Sharon Wood of Edmond; and sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Marvin Crick of Edmond. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery.
