Gladys L. "Tissie" Judy

Gladys L. “Tissie” Judy was born on November 3, 1923, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Friday, October 4, 2013, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Gladys, the daughter of Christopher Columbus and Roxie Allie (Bennett) Terrell, was a life-long resident of Shawnee. She first married Kenneth L. Taber and to that union one son was born. She later married Sanford F. Judy on April 22, 1969, in Reno, Nevada. They made their home in Shawnee where Gladys was a homemaker and member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include: husband, Sanford Judy of Soldotna, Alaska; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Brenda Taber of Shawnee; granddaughter, Stephanie Frazier, and her husband, Carl, of Ada and their children, Justin, Callie, Hunter and Patrick; grandson, Brandon Taber, and his wife Renae, of Meeker and their children, Heather, Maygan and Johnny and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee with Rev. Bill Matthews and Bro. Phil Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Grove Cemetery in Prague. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
