Gladys Gardner Reid, long-time, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on February 7, 1916, at her family home in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life in Lawton, Oklahoma, on August 30, 2007, at the age of 91 years Gladys was the daughter of James Edward and Laura Ellen Osborn Gardner. She lived most of her life around Chandler and graduated Chandler High School in 1934. Gladys married Forrest L. Reid on May 19, 1934, in Chandler. She and her husband were members of the Comet and Rolling Rockers Travel Trailer Clubs and did a lot of traveling after there retirement. Gladys was a homemaker and a member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church. Her parents, husband, daughter, Shirley Ann; and one sister, Elsa Fisher; preceded Gladys in death. Survivors include, Son & daughter-in-law, James L. & Sharon Reid of Lawton, OK, Two granddaughters & spouse, Melissa & Ron Griffin, Traci McBride, Four great-grandchildren, Samuel & David Griffin, Machelle & Tiffani McBride, One sister & brother-in-law:Nelda & Doyle Tislow of Chandler, Several nieces & nephews, Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2007, 10:00 AM, at Chandler Southern Baptist Church, Chandler, Oklahoma, with Rev. Thom Chappelle officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
