Gilbert Huntley Burch

Gilbert Huntley Burch gained entry to his eternal, heavenly home on August 25, 2004. The eldest of four living children, Gilbert was born September 10, 1911, on the Simpkins farm, northwest of Ada, OK to Floy C. Tilley Burch and Homer Gilbert Burch. Gilbert married Vida Williams of the Pharoah, OK, area, in May of 1934. Their son, Charles H. Burch, was born January 1936. He was lovingly called 'Little Charles' and was a treasure to his parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Gilbert served as pastor of churches in Seminole, OK, Maysville, OK, and Fordyce, AR. He is survived by his youngest brother, Rev. James E. Burch of Conway, AR, and his sister, Virginia L. Burch Cecil of Norman, OK, and nieces and nephews. Preceding Gilbert in death were his wife, Vida, and his son, Charles H. His parents and his brother, Albert L. Burch, also preceded him in death. James Burch and Virginia Burch Cecil wish to express their deepest appreciation to Mr. Norman Waddell for his every act of kindness and caring for Gilbert and our family.
