Gerald Edward Peeler, Sr. was born on March 8, 1935, in Oklahoma City, and departed this life on Friday, June 10, 2016, in Midwest City Oklahoma, at the age of 81. Gerald, the son of Edd Roy and Esther Margaret (Glover) Peeler, was a resident of Prague. Gerald attended Choctaw High School. Gerald married Patsy B. Peeler on December 22, 1953. Patsy preceded him in death on March 31, 2006. Gerald was a truck driver and later served as a supervisor at CMI. He was a very active member of the Masonic Lodge. Gerald was a member of Lodge #551 in Oklahoma City and had attained KCCH. He was a past Master of the Meeker Lodge and the Yukon Lodge and an honorary member of the Prague Lodge 209. He was a member of the India Shrine of Oklahoma City as well as the Guthrie Scottish Rite, where he served on the chain gang. Gerald was a member of the Eastern Star in Meeker and Yukon. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Choctaw. Gerald’s parents, brothers Harlan, Robert Earl and Glen Eldridge preceded him in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Gerald Jr and Donna Peeler of Sparks; daughters and sons-in-laws Sherry and Troy Mack Lindsay of Earlsboro and Peggy and Ron O’Neill of Harrah; brother Leon Peeler of Meeker; sister Mary Audry Testerman of Little Axe; 7 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 10:00, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Claude Peeler officiating. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
