Georgia Flodell Santin

Georgia Flodell Santin was born on July 24, 1917 in Seagoville, Texas to James and Rhoda (Thornton) Carder. She departed this life on August 23, 2020 in Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 103 years. Georgia grew up in the Piedmont, Oklahoma area and was the oldest daughter of seven children. She recalled fond memories of riding a horse to school, taking care of her younger siblings, singing, and playing the piano as she grew up. In 1935, Georgia was married to Adolph Henry Santin. They had grown up as neighbors and were married for 72 years before he passed in 2007. They were blessed with eleven children together. Georgia was a Baptist who encouraged people to work hard, keep faith in Christ, be giving, read the Bible, love your family, and learn to love good music. Georgia is preceded in death by her husband; Adolph Santin, two sons; Gary Santin, and Ray Santin, three daughters; Bonnie Miller, Freida Moffer, and Denia Hudson, along with two infant children. Three Brothers; James Carder, Curtis Carder, and Carl Mansell, and sister; Catherine Castleberry. Survivors include one son; Roy Santin, three daughters; Sharon Barrett, Nancy Cline, and Donna Wheeler. Two sisters; Ada Christine Kuykendall, and Hearoldean Westfall, eighteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, along with great-great grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, Oklahoma with come and go visitations on the Thursday and Friday prior. Burial will take place at Frisco Cemetery in Yukon, Oklahoma at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020. Condolences may be offered online at www.parksbrothers.net.
