George Willard Pitts

George Willard Pitts was born in Gypsy, Oklahoma on September 14, 1932 and departed this life in Milfay, Oklahoma on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the age of 78 years. George was the son of John Magnus and Lucy Mae (Little) Pitts. George was a resident of Milfay area all of his life. He was in the United State Navy where he served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milfay, Oklahoma and worked as a masonry contractor. He married Judy Addline Roller in Galveston, Texas on January 16, 1952. She preceded him in death on February 16, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Survivors include, Three Sons & Daughters in Laws, Darrell & Juanita Pitts of Milfay, OK, James & Rhonda Pitts of Depew, OK, Kelley Pitts of Depew, OK, Four Daughters & Sons in Laws, Jenny & Robert Daniels of Shawnee, OK, Susan & Pat Herrington of Dyer, AR, Charity Stiles of Milfay, OK, Karey & Paul Allen of Prague, OK, Two Brothers, John Pitts of Oklahoma City, OK, Dee Pitts of Milfay, OK, One Sister, Geneva Yocum of Bristow, OK, 26 Grandchildren, 54 Great Grandchildren, Others relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Milfay School Gymnasium at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 14, 2011 with Rev. Justin Fine and Rev. Heath Buster officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Dale Cemetery in Depew, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma
