George Fred Imhoff passed at the age of 81 on October 24, 2020 surrounded by family at Primrose Retirement Community in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was born in Plantersville, Texas on August 28, 1939 graduating from Navasota High school in 1957. On November 10, 1962 he married Natalie Vierus at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham, Texas and they made their home in Oklahoma. They enjoyed over fifty-three years of married life together. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1959-1965, including being stationed near Munich, Germany for a short amount of time. Fred served as a firefighter in Oklahoma City from 1970-1995, retiring to farm full time. Fred and Natalie owned a farm near Stroud, Oklahoma. Fred’s passion was his cattle and he devoted long days with his family to building a successful cattle operation. In 2010, he and a son were featured in the international Beef Magazine published by Nichols Farm for their cattle operation which highlighted their practices and accomplishments, as well as their devotion to the cattle industry. Fred is survived by his children, Mary Ann Williams and her husband, John, Charles and his wife, Bonnie, and David and his wife, Leslee. Treasured grandchildren Chad and wife Katie, Elizabeth and husband Brannan, Chance, Annae and Nicholas. Great grandchild whom he enjoyed frequent visits from include Connor, Cason and Kylee. His brothers Hal, Wayne and Gerald. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews located in the surrounding states. Fred was preceded in death by his brothers Dewey and Jim. Also, his wife Natalie in 2016 and the family takes comfort knowing the two love birds are together again. A Rosary will be at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler, OK on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 6:00 pm. A Mass will be on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10:00 am followed by burial at 2:00 pm at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Online condolences can be made at www.parksbrothers.net.
