George Franklin Sala

George Franklin Sala was born on October 10, 1917, in Arlington, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, March 2, 2015, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 97. George, the son of Ernest and Agnes (Chadraba) Sala, was a lifelong resident of Prague. He married Jaunita Ann Cook on June 15, 1940, in Prague . He was a farmer. George loved Johnny Carson and was always up on politics. His parents, wife, son, George Sala, Jr., three daughters, Georgia Ann Quary, Judy May Quary and Pamela Gay Cooper, grandchildren, Jackie Wayne Quary, Robert Charles Cooper, Joseph Lee Cooper, Danny Keith Cooper, brother, Jim Sala and sister, Mary Reynolds preceded George in death. Survivors include: son, Buddy Sala of Prague; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Sue Lehenbauer of Oklahoma City, Wanda Kay and Don McNeil of Mustang, Mary Lou and Kenny Tootle of Yukon and Linda Joy and Danny Cooper of Prague; 14 grandchildren; a host of great grandkids and great great grandkids; brother, Bill and JoAnn Sala; numerous other family and friends. The Sala family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Prague Cemetery with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
