Genevieve Peggy Moody

May 27, 1922 — April 6, 2018

Genevieve Peggy Moody, 95, was born on May 27, 1922 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Leonard Irvin and Effie Elizabeth (Lockwood) Canada. The Canada family moved to Stroud, OK in 1928 Genevieve and her sister, Geneva Mench attended Stroud High School. Genevieve gave her heart to the Lord when she was seven years old and loved him all of her life. She married Clinton Smith in 1940. Carl Wayne Smith and Carol Lou Smith were born to their union. In 1957, Genevieve moved to Oklahoma City where she met and married Glenn Cramer. After his death in 1990, she married an old school mate Doy Moody. After his death in 2000, she returned to Stroud. Genevieve is preceded in death by her children, Carl Wayne Smith and Carol Lou Smith. Survivors include one brother, John Wiley Canada; nieces, Cindy Hightower, Alana Massey, and Billie Kay Mescham; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and numerous friends and family members from the Canada and Smith families who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday April 11, 2018 at the Higher Praise Church in Stroud with Rev. Jon Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service.
