Genevieve "Genny" Augusta Wilson

Genevieve Augusta Wilson was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma on April 2, 1929 and departed this life in Chandler, Oklahoma on January 6, 2018 at Chandler, Oklahoma the age of 88 years. Genevieve was the daughter of Howard & Gertrude Tippin. She was a resident of Stroud and was a member of the Deer Creek Baptist Church in Stroud. She worked as a cook. She loved to work on arts and crafts. She married Harold Lee Wilson. He preceded her in death August of 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Ellen, two brothers. Survivors include, one son, Johnnie Thatcher of Oklahoma City, one brother, Everett Ray Tippin of Sapulpa, two sisters, Virginia Upton of Tecumseh, Geneva Wilson, four grandchildren, Johnny Thatcher & wife, Mary of Depew, Jason Thatcher, James Shirley & wife Misty & Angie Borens, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held at the Davenport Cemetery on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
