Geneva (Burgess) Jackson

Geneva Burgess Jackson was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma on October 17, 1917 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the age of 93 years. Geneva was the daughter of William Marion and Maggie (Rogers) Burgess. She was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma. Geneva was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma. She retired from teaching at Stroud High School in 1981. Geneva married Vernon Gerald Jackson on November 27, 1942 and he preceded her in death October 7, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents, One Son, Joel Roger Jackson, Two Brothers and One Sister. Survivors include, Three Nieces, Brenda Davidson, Carol Henson & Jennifer Angelo, One nephew, John Schaublin, Other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Joe Molencupp officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
