Gene Stewart

Alfred Eugene 'Gene' Stewart was born on June 14, 1935, in Keo, AR, and departed this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2005, in Prague, OK, at the age of 70. Gene, the son of Everette Henry and Grace Helen Thompson Stewart, was a resident of Prague. He married Marie McDaniel on July 15, 1951, in Prague. Gene operated a service station in Meeker for many years. He was also a mechanic and a machinist and was of the Pentecostal faith. His parents; one brother, John; and one son, Randy, preceded Gene in death. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marie of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Stewart of Prague; daughters and son-in-law, Donna and Jim Laxton of Prague and Theresa Stewart of Norman; brothers and sisters-in-law, E.H. and Wanda Stewart of Shawnee, Roy and Agness Stewart of Stroud; Leslie and his wife Jo Ann Stewart of Prague; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and John Reed of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Jean Stewart of Shawnee; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
