Gene Duane Oldham was born on December 8, 1925, in Drumright, and departed this life on September 16, 2018, in Prague, at the age of 92. Gene, the son of Clarence Oliver and Ica Bendy (Chezem) Oldham was a resident of Prague. He married Jean Marie Hathcock on December 31,1950, in Shawnee. Gene proudly served in the United States Marines during World War II. Gene retired from Tinker Air Force Base. He was an avid OU fan and enjoyed watching football games. Gene devoted much time to farming and raising cattle. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jean Oldham; sisters, Coyla Bowden, Olive Rogers, Jonice Webb and brother, Glenn Oldham. Survivors include his sons, Darrell Oldham of Prague, David Oldham of Prague and Devon and wife, Cyndi Oldham of Sparks; daughters, Debra and husband, Oscar Messer of Kendrick, Donna and husband, Jerry McAnally of Prague and Darla Smith of Prague; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda White of Shawnee; numerous nieces and nephews and many other family and friends. The Oldham family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Prague with Nathan Howard officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
