Gary Wayne Cook, 61, left this world on October 27, 2018 heading to his next big adventure. Gary traveled throughout the United States and the world extensively. He lived in Norway for quite a few years. On June 6, 2006, Gary married the love of his life, Thuyhang Nguyen, in Vietnam. They own Bedlam Nail and Foot Care in Prague and in Stroud, Oklahoma. He was one of OU’s biggest fans. Gary amassed a huge collection of signed OU Football Memorabilia. Anyone that has visited the Bedlam Nail and Foot Care in Prague and Stroud can attest to that. Gary was born on September 28, 1957, in Oklahoma City to Dr. Harold and Juanita Cook. He grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1975. Gary was a very giving person and donated to many charities, including childhood cancer patients and children with disabilities. Gary never had children himself but he loved kids and animals. Gary and Thuyhang have several cats that they both love dearly. Gary would be seen driving around Prague with a cat in his car or perched on his shoulder. Gary is a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague, Oklahoma. Gary is survived by his wife, his parents and his brother and sister-in-law Harold Ray and Territa Cook. Gary had several nieces and nephews including Barrett Cook, Lanetta Cook and Raeschel Marler, many cousins and an extended family in Vietnam. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM followed with a Rosary at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague, Oklahoma, with Father Long Phan officiating. Interment will follow at the Catholic Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
