Gary Dan Lowe

Gary Dan Lowe was born on October 2, 1945, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, October 12, 2015, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 70. Gary, the son of Clarence and Lorene (Chapman) Lowe, was a resident of Prague. He graduated from Englewood High School in 1963 and earned a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the University of Colorado. Gary married Sharion Betterton on July 9, 1965, in Englewood, Colorado. They remained married until her death in 2006. Gary worked as an electrical engineer retiring from Tinker Air Force Base in 2005. He enjoyed problem-solving and living life to the fullest. He modeled a life of sacrificial love through constant support of his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gary’s parents, wife and granddaughter, Gabriella preceded him in death. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Anna Wong Lowe of Norman; daughters and sons-in-law, Jerusha and Todd Loafman of Prague and Georgianna and Anthony Dozier of McLoud; grandchildren, Kris and Jessica Loafman, Sr., Deidra and T.J. Grounds, Johnathen Loafman, Lorene Lowe, Diane and Grant Kline, III, Rayland and Jessica Dozier, Charlton Dozier, Samuel Dozier, Hannah Dozier, Carrianna Dozier, Debrianna Dozier, Luke Lowe and Sharion Lowe; great grandchildren, Kris Loafman, Jr., Joshua and Bella Grounds, Grant Kline, IV and Jordan Kline; brother, Larry Lowe of Idaho; sister, Peggy Foulston, and her husband, John of Kansas; other numerous family and friends. The Lowe family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Gary’s late wife, Sharion, succumbed to cirrhosis of the liver. As an expression of sympathy, the family has requested that donations be made to the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute. All donations benefit research to find a cure. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Prague with Brother Chuck Utsler officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Grove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
