Gary Bruce Morelock was born on September 10, 1949 in Bristow, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 1, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70. Gary was born to Donald and Aline (Davidson) Morelock of Prague, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. Gary served in the Vietnam War as a member of the Naval Construction Battalion, better known as the Seabees. He married Denise Williams on January 25, 1979 and they made their home in Stroud, Oklahoma. Gary worked for General Telephone & Electronics Corporation (GTE) for 27 years and also pumped oil wells for over 30 years. Gary loved the outdoors where he spent his time hunting, fishing and going to the shooting range. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, passing down his love for the outdoors to them and teaching them many outdoor sports. Gary was mechanically inclined and there was not much that he could not fix. He was also a member of the Stroud Masonic Lodge and also a Shriner. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jeff Morelock of Prague, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife Denise Morelock; son Garrett Morelock and his wife Cari Morelock of Piedmont, Oklahoma; daughter Maranda Cody and her husband Johnny Cody of Kendrick, Oklahoma; his daughter Denisha Harris and her husband Shawn Harris of Stroud, Oklahoma; daughter Amber Davis and her husband Clay Davis of Paden, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren Kenedi, Brady and Lexi Morelock; Landen Banta; Kimber Cody; Braylie and Athena Harris; and Connor and Carson Davis. He is also survived by his sister Debra Patterson and her husband Daniel Patterson of Prague, Oklahoma and many other family members and friends. A Graveside Service for Gary will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Prague Cemetery in Prague, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, OK.
