Garland Eugene Smith

Garland Eugene Smith was born on November 5, 1931, in Seminole, Oklahoma, and departed this life on November 10, 2018, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Garland, the son of Winfield Elzie and Julia Mae (Seals) Smith, was a resident of Muskogee. He married Dianna Smith on December 9, 1995. He enjoyed his career as a truck driver. His hobbies included fishing, football and watching WWE wrestling. Garland loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Garland was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dianna Smith; daughter, Diane Brasuell; son, Kenny Smith; numerous grandchildren; brother, John Smith; sisters, Audrey Smith, Gladys Rains, Helen Richardson and Clara Bull. Survivors include sons, Jimmy Smith of Guymon, Johnny Smith of Guymon, Billy Smith of Guymon, Riley and wife, Beatrice Smith of Shawnee, Curtis and wife, Trish Smith of Porum; daughters, Julia Smith of Guymon, Galla and husband, Cliff Cowart of Porum and Carla Menie of Muskogee; son-in-law, James Brasuell of Vian; 25 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; life long friend, Dreatha Miller; numerous family and friends. The Smith family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, in Prague, with Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
