Gale Gean Gessner

Gale Gean Gessner, Meeker, OK, resident was born on August 18, 1940, in Meeker, OK and departed this life Friday, June 5, 2009, in Meeker, at the age of 68 years. Gale, the daughter of Roy Earl and Mary Lycinda (Long) Spurgin. Gale married Ray Gessner in Davenport, OK, on February 17, 1958. She worked as a manager for a gas station and mini-storage. She attended the Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Michael; one brother and one sister. Survivors include, husband, Ray of the home, three sons, David Gessner of Chandler, OK, Billy Rackley of Portland, OR, Richard Gessner of Portland, OR, one daughter, Shelly Patterson of Wellston, OK, two brothers, Dale Spurgin of FL, Vonnie Spurgin of Shawnee, OK, one sister, Icy May Winters of Shawnee, OK, 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren, Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 9, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Davenport, OK, with Pastor Alan McBroom officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
