Gail Ruth Marez

Gail Ruth Marez was born on May 4, 1934, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, December 25, 2016, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Gail, the daughter of Edgar Conklin and Myrtle May (McKinney) Ellis, was a resident of Prague. Gail was married to Luis Marez. Later in life she met Lucian Wakolee, she and Lucian spent the last several years of life together until his passing in 2004. Gail loved playing bingo, fishing and doing puzzles. She was always smiling and had a good joke to tell. Gail's parents; husbands; one son, Lonnie; one grandson, Luke; and one granddaughter, Justice Marez; two brothers, Melvin Ellis and Virgil Ray Ellis; and one sister, Joyce Ellis Burgess preceded her in death. Survivors include: sons and daughter-in-law, Luis Jr. and Virginia Marez, Arthur Marez, George Marez, Daniel Marez; daughters, Debra Marez, Virginia Marez, Helen Villareal; brothers, Elvis Ellis Jackson Ellis, Leroy Ellis; sisters, Mildred Marceleno, Peggy Ann Ellis, Gloria Jean Ellis, Lela Lopez; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Traditional services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 6:00 PM, at The Ellis Family Summer House, with burial Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Sac and Fox Cemetery.
