Freida Mae Finch

Freida Mae Finch, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on December 4, 1935, in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She departed this life on September 29, 2018, at her home in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years. Freida was the daughter of Eldon Hugh and Glendola (Forbis) Fenderson. She graduated from Washington High School in Fremont, California. Freida married Warren Rex Finch on December 11, 1960, in Hawthorne, California. She was a member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church, and the Eastern Star. She held several posts within the Eastern Star including Grand Matron. While in California Freida worked as a crossing guard, and for the Boeing Company soldering electronics, she also worked as a CNA at the Chandler Nursing Home for many years which carries over into her personal life as she took care of both her husband, Warren and her mother, Glendola late in their lives. Freida loved her grandchildren and talked about them to whoever would listen. She loved to talk with people and tell lots of stories, she will be greatly missed. Her parents and husband preceded Frieda in death. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James Patrick and Marcy Finch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Trisha Nellie and Alex Olmos of West Covina, California; two granddaughters, Kasey and Celeste; one grandson, Kenny; one sister Lavella Ann Seers of Ohio, and one brother, Eldon Hugh Fenderson Jr. of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 5, 2018, at the Chandler Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
