Freddie Wayne Smith, age 67 of Perry, OK. He was born on August 21, 1947 in McAlester, OK. He was the son of Jimmie and Edith (Work) Smith. He passed from this life on October 17, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK. He grew up and attended school in Quinton, graduating in 1965. Fred enlisted in the United States Navy and served our country in the United States Navy from 1966-1970. Fred worked for Jersey Products in Yukon, OK, City of Stillwater, Ditch Witch of Perry and Lee Properties. He was a member and past chaplain of the Perry Elks Lodge and VFW of Eufaula for 30 years. His hobbies including, wood work, avid OU fan, and just being with his family and friends. The highlights of his life were his family. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Betty Lou May and 1 brother Curtis Smith. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Smith, Perry, OK; step-children; Marcia Linn & husband Scott of Tulsa, Eugene Big Soldier II and spouse Mary of Sapulpa, OK; 6 grandchildren, Eugene Big Soldier III, Jeff Smith, Shane Fields, Gabriella Big Soldier, Gioanna Big Soldier and Jamie Big Soldier; sisters, Jody Pryor, Billie Sue Gannaway, Wanda Taddeo and June Privette; a special great- niece Kaila Warden and special nephew Hunter Warden and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday October 20, 2014 at Palestine Community Church in Quinton, OK, with Darrell Adcock officiating, with interment to follow at Palestine Cemetery in Quinton, OK. Services under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK
