Freddie Charles Franklin was born in Quinton, Oklahoma on December 29, 1931 and departed this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Freddie was the son of Fred B. and Gladys Molly (Hancock) Franklin. Freddie was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He was in the United States Army were he served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Freddie worked for Boeing Airlines and after he moved to Stroud, Oklahoma he owned and operated the Champlin Service Station in Stroud, Oklahoma. Freddie married Mary Lou Dotson in Stroud, Oklahoma on December 20, 1952. She preceded him in death on March 4, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Survivors include, One Son & Daughter in Law, Doug & Stephanie Franklin of Tulsa, OK, One Sister, Katie Bond of Stroud, OK, Two Grandchildren, Shelby Franklin of Eufaula, OK, Andrew Rooker of Tulsa, OK, Host of Cousin, Nieces and Nephew, Others relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Stroud, Oklahoma at 1:30 P.M. March 24, 2010 with Rev. Paul Ragle officiating. Burial will be in Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services.
