Fred Lester

Fred Lester was born on January 25, 1919, in Bokchito, OK, and departed this life on Monday, August 22, 2005, in Prague, OK, at the age of 86. Fred, the son of Charles and Ida Mae Wilmoth Lester, was a resident of Prague. He married Mary Frances Tompkins in October 1939. Fred proudly served his country with the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Fred retired from Tinker Air Force Base where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. His parents; two sisters; four brothers; and his twin, Ed, preceded Fred in death. Survivors include his wife of over 65 years, Mary Frances of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Dollie Lester of Richmond, IN, and Fred, J. and Shirley Lester of Meeker; daughter, Linda Reedy of Sullivan, MO; 8 grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
