Fred Lee Baker was born on June 30, 1939, in Lookeba, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, May 21, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 69. Fred, the son of Joseph Nicholas and Verda Gladys Riley Baker, was a resident of Prague. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Fred married Delaine Green on January 16, 1970 in McAlester. Delaine preceded Fred in death one week ago on May 14, 2009. Fred was a truck driver, a member of the Teamsters Union, a member of the Church of Christ, and drove a school bus for the Prague Schools. He was an avid Prague football fan and loved to play dominoes at the Domino Hall. His parents; three brothers, Ralph, Joseph, and Robert Baker; and sister, Helen Ray, also preceded Fred in death. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Shon Gillispie of Prague; sons, Brent Baker of Prague, Brad Baker of Prague, Ryan Baker of Prague; sisters, Mildred Harvey of Apache, Margaret Hogan of Kingfisher; grandchildren, Raygan and Dalton Gillispie. Memorials may be made to: Prague Quarterback Club PO Box 72, Prague, OK 74864. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Lonnie Hutton officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole County. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
