Franklin Ray ?Frank? McGuire, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born on December 13, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and departed this life on November 29, 2003, at his home in Chandler at the age of 54 years. Frank was the son of Willie Henry and Esabell Kanada McGuire. He retired from the United States Army where he served in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. He then worked at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. Upon Frank?s retirement from Tinker, he worked as an EMT for the City of Chandler, the Lincoln County Sheriff?s department, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler. His father and one brother preceded Frank in death. Survivors include his mother, Esabell McGuire of Chandler; 1 son, Jeff McGuire of Harrah; 1 brother, Gary McGuire of Chandler; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating. Frank?s final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
