Frank Leonard Case was born on September 7, 1927 , in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Frank, the son of Fink Wright and Sarah Isabelle (Tudor) Case, was a long-time resident of Prague. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during World War II in the occupation of Germany. Frank married Ethel Roberta Porter on May 27, 1947 in Okemah. Ethel preceded him in death on June 16, 1971. He later was united with Melva Mayfield who also preceded him in death on August 13, 1995. Frank retired from Tinker Air Force Base where he was a test cell operator. Frank had a lifelong love of baseball as a fan, a player, and a coach. In the mid-1950s, he started Prague Little League on the old football field, now Grissom Implement. A short time later, with a few volunteers and donated materials, he built Prague’s first lighted baseball field on its current site. His parents; two brothers, Carl and Raymond; and two sisters, Lena Osborne and Bonnie Haley, also preceded Frank in death. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Steve Case of Shawnee, Stan and Angi Case of Atlanta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gene Goodnight of Seminole; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Helen Case of Moore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Peter Glenn of Oklahoma City, Carmilita and Sonny McGehee of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Candy Case, Travis, Cody, Sundy and Maria Goodnight; step-grandchildren, Dwayne, Mike, and Kim Goodnight, Derek and Casey Mayfield; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
