Frank Appl

Frank Appl was born on March 13, 1924, in Belmont, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Sunday, July 30, 2006, in Edmond, OK, at the age of 82. Frank, the son of Paul and Mary Pliva Appl, was a resident of Edmond, Oklahoma. Frank married the former Helen Sykora Scott on March 14, 1999 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers of America and was employed by Southwestern Bell for 30 years. He was a veteran of World War ll, having served overseas in the United States Army. He was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge for 50 years. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Helen Ann Appl, four brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include wife, Helen Appl of the home; step sons and daughters-in-law, Steven D. and Letha Scott of Edmond, Roger A. and Candee Scott of Oklahoma City; step daughter and son-in-law, Anne E. and Dennis Fine of Ada; sister, Irene Coomer of Prague, sister-in-law, Ophia Appl of Prague; special nephew and wife, John David and Glenda Marsh of Hennessey; special niece and husband, Pam and Steve Pratka of Prague.
