Francis Loren Cozart

Francis Loren Cozart was born on March 20, 1936, in Harrisburg, Illinois, and departed this life on Thursday, April 5, 2012, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. Francis, the son of Harry and Agnes (Quick) Cozart, was a resident of Meeker. He married Beverly Heartsill on June 1, 1956, in Durant, Oklahoma. Francis proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He worked as a machinist. Francis was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Beverly Cozart of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Loren Cozart of McLoud and Gary and Marie Cozart of Meeker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Marlene Cozart of Denver, CO and David and Mary Cozart of Willington, Michigan; sister, Anita Sonenberg of Boulder City, Nevada; grandchildren, Gary Dale Cozart Jr., and his wife Amanda, Christopher Francis Cozart and his wife Leann, Katherin Irene Cozart; great-grandchildren, Braxton Cozart, Phanon Cozart, Brayden Cozart, Tanner Hathcock, Eli Cozart, Jackson Hathcock; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM, at Rossville Cemetery in Meeker with Rev. Kenneth Lantz officiating.
