Francis "Frank" Widmeier

Francis Joseph Widmeier was born on July 7, 1933, in Philadelphia, PA, and departed this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 77 years. Frank, the son of Francis and Margaret (Schram) Widmeier was a resident of Chandler, OK. He served in the United States Navy for over 23 years. Frank married Amanda Cecile Ballenger on September 25, 1954, in Madill, OK, and was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler. Frank was known as a very good story teller. His parents and wife preceded Frank in death. Survivors include, three daughters, Cynthia Danila of Stillwater, OK, Michelle Legg of Stillwater, OK, Amanda Widmeier of Baton Rouge, LA, one sister-in-law, Joann Dicky of Edmond, OK, 2 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Rifle Association. A special thank you to everyone at the Chandler Senior Citizens group and the Boom-a-rang grill. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, May, 23, 2011, at the American Legion Hut in Chandler, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
