Frances F. Swearengin

Francis Farrell Swearengin, former Meeker, Oklahoma, resident was born on August 3, 1920, in Sparks, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 90. Francis was the son of John H. and Ruby (Hughes) Swearengin. In 1939, he married Dorena Decker in Sparks, Oklahoma; he served in the United State Navy during World War II then worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a welder. Francis attended the Assembly of God Church. His parents preceded Francis in death. Survivors include, Wife, Dorena of the home, two daughters, Carolyn Swearengin of New York, NY, Francena Sabouri of OKC, OK, three brothers, Bob L. Swearengin of Waco, TX, Don J. Swearengin of Los Angeles, CA, Billy D. Swearengin of Pensacola, FL, two grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Viewing will be at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home chapel in Meeker, Oklahoma on Thursday August 12, 2010 till service time. Funeral services will be held at the First Assembly of God Church in Meeker, Oklahoma at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 14, 2010. Burial will follow at White Dove Cemetery in Sparks, Oklahoma, with Rev. Charles Pearcy officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
