Floyd ?Sonny? V. Paden, Harrah, Oklahoma, age 78, was born April 27, 1926, in Vian, Oklahoma, and departed this life on December 6, 2004, in Norman, Oklahoma. Sonny was the son of Cloyd Grant & Myrtle Irene Cockran Paden. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Bethel Christian Center, Choctaw, OK. Sonny liked to read westerns, play dominoes, listen to country & western music, fishing and hiking. He loved camping, traveling and most of all being with his family. His grandchildren whom he loved dearly, called him ?Poppy?. He loved telling stories to anyone who would listen. Sonny never met a stranger and he touched the lives of anyone who ever knew him. Sonny was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Patty Paden & Wilma Jean Isaacs; 1 granddaughter, Amanda Wynn; and 1 great-grandson, Bryson Kyle Reser. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Paden, Harrah, OK; 4 sons & 2 daughters-in-law, Darrell Paden, Chickasha, OK, Donald & Vicki Paden, Loganville, GA, Chuck Rose, Tampa, FL, Kenneth & Donna Rose, Luther, OK; 2 daughters & 1 son-in-law, Connie Wynn, Choctaw, OK, Felesa & Geoff Agan, Harrah, OK; 1 brother, J.C. Paden, Tahlequah, OK; 10 sisters, Betty Gibson, Stillwell, OK, Shirley Adair, Stillwell, OK, Sue Horn, Stillwell, OK, Ann Fountain, Stillwell, OK, Mary Catherine Weavel, Tahlequah, OK, Diane Paden, Tahlequah, OK, Jimmie Poteet, Tahlequah, OK, Mickey Campbell, Sallisaw, OK, Terri Brewer, Sallisaw, OK, Donna Gregory, Bentonville, AR; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 9, 2004, at Bethel Christian Center, Choctaw, OK, with Dr. Dick Temple officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, Oklahoma.
