Floyd E. Rice was born on November 29, 1926 in Tuskegee, Oklahoma and departed this life on Sunday February 10, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years. Floyd was the son of George and Belva Rice. He graduated from high school in Manteca, Ca. He married Adda Mae Sarrels in Modesto, Ca in 1945. Floyd served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan during World War II. He retired from the Sharp Army Depot where he was a general maintenance technician. Floyd also pastored a Church in Firebaugh, CA for three years. Floyd married Claudia Kay (Earp) Cutting on September 16, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Belva Rice, three brothers, Othal, Lloyd, & Otis Rice, and his first wife Adda Mae Rice, Survivors include, Wife, Claudia Kay Rice of the Home, Three Sons and Daughter-in-law, Tom Rice of Reno, NV, Dennis and Connie Rice of Glendale, AZ, Delbert Rice of St. Luis, MO, One Daughter and Son-in-law, Shirley and Dan Laird of Portolla, CA, One Step Daughter and Son-in-law, Jean and Jeff Slease of Waxahachie, TX , One Brother and Sister-in-law, Wayne and Dorothy Rice of Gore, OK, Two Sisters and Brother-in-law, Ella and Bob King of Marysville, CA, Stella Ellis of Edgewood, SD, Six Grandchildren, Nine Great-Grandchildren, One Great-Great-Grandson, Several Nieces, Nephews, Family, and many other friends. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Faith in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Services will be officiated by Brother Ronnie Shaddon and Brother Wayne Rice. Burial will follow at the Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services of Stroud.
