Floyd Bryant Jordan was born on January 6, 1919, in Lead Hill, Arkansas, and departed this life on Friday, July 9, 2004, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 85. Floyd, the son of Albert and Mary Ridinger Jordan, was a long-time resident of Prague. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Lillie Marie Terry on August 2, 1946, in Arkansas. She preceded him in death on December 24, 1994. Floyd retired from the US Postal Service following 30 years as a mail carrier. His parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 grandson also preceded Floyd in death. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd B. Jordan, Jr. of Prague, Albert and Jerrine Jordan of Dublin, CA, Manford and Silvia Jordan of Hayward, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Velma Sue Williams of Valley Springs, CA, Joann and Richard Orput of San Lorenzo, CA, Cheryl and George W. Hockemeyer of Cushing, OK; brother, Vernie and Aileen Jordan of Prague; sister,Ava King of Chickasha, OK; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
