Eva Loydale Page

Eva Loydale Page was born on June 28, 1921, north of Prague on the family farm settled by her grandfather in the land rush of 1892, and departed this life on Thursday, June 27, 2013, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 91, (one day before her 92nd birthday). Loydale was the daughter of Elzie and Sarah Gravitt, She graduated from Prague High School in 1937 and the Gordon Cooper Technical Institute in 1971 where she was a member of the first LPN class to graduate. She married Irvin Conover Page on June 11, 1938. Loydale worked at Mission Hill hospital, Shawnee Medical Center, and cared for her husband during the last years of his life. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1997. Together they worked the family farm for 40 years before moving to Shawnee and then retiring back to Prague. Loydale was a member of the Arlington Methodist Church. The heart of her life was her family whom she supported in their every endeavor. Her family, the Gravitts, sacrificed two sons during World War II, and her two sons served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Loydale's parents; infant daughter, Sarah; sister, Carmen Gravitt Page; brother, Cecil Lane; and granddaughter, Kristi Barrett and her son Jake, also preceded Loydale in death. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Carol Ann Page of Tulsa, Jack and Patsy Page of Pensacola, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Larry Mahorich of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Sheri, Cindy, Sandy, and Kevin; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM, at the Prague Cemetery in Prague with Rev. Derrek Belase officiating.
