Gene Henson, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on July 20, 1926, in Paris, Arkansas, and departed this life on May 30, 2004, in Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 77. Gene was the son of Arbry Elton and Martha Emeliza Ewing Henson. He married Joyce Tidmore on June 18, 1966, in Midwest City. Gene served in the United States Navy during WW II. He worked as a Electronic Technician at the Tinker AFB in the central GEEIA Region. Gene was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Chandler. He served as the Training Union Director, and worked with the R.A. boys at the First Baptist Church in Chandler. He was also affiliated with the Ardella Baptist Church in Lakeland, Florida. His parents, first wife Ruth Armstrong, five brothers and three sisters preceded Gene in death. Survivors include his Wife:Joyce Henson of the Home.Two Sons & daughter-in-law:Thomas & Cil Henson of Pearland, TX. Steve Tidmore of Tampa, FL.Two daughters & sons-in-law: Karen Thompson?Blanchette & Jack of San Antonio, TX. Krystal & Donald Tidmore-Higgenbotham of Lakeland, FL. One sister:Zedith Foster of Harrison, AR. Eight Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild
