Ethel L. Rhodes, Newalla, Oklahoma, age 91, was born February 22, 1914, in Saint Paul, TX, and departed this life on August 11, 2005, in Newalla, Oklahoma. Ethel was the daughter of James & Rachel Blecker Turnbow. She married William E. Rhodes on December 5, 1929. They moved to Newalla in 1971. Ethel was a homemaker. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one child; six brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include 1 daughter, Lola J. Lane, Newalla, OK; 1 brother, Avery Turnbow, CA; 3 grandchildren, Michael Lane, Moore, OK, Jeannie Lewelling, Newalla, OK, Cindy Warren, Newalla, OK; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Sunny Lane Cemetery, in Del City, OK, with Dr. Tony Nickel officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, Oklahoma.
