Ethel Helen Rains

Ethel Helen Rains was born on July 9, 1917, in Breathiff, Kentucky, and departed this life on Thursday, October 7, 2004, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Ethel, the daughter of John and Easter Cornett Howard, was a resident of Prague. She married Hubert Williams on December 6, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1969. Ethel married Lee ?Ray? Rains on January 8, 1990, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2003. Ethel was a homemaker, lived most of her life in Lincoln County, and was a member of Deer Creek Baptist Church. Her parents, three brothers, and three sisters also preceded Ethel in death. Survivors include her stepdaughter and her husband, Rae Ellen and James Heinzig of Prague; stepdaughter-in-law, Suzanne Rains of Cleburne, TX; brother, Roy Howard of Chandler; sisters and brother-in-law, Geneva and Tom Pomeroy of Davenport and Eunice Thornton of Chandler; and several nieces and nephews.
