Esther Irene Fleming

Esther Irene Fleming, age 83, of McLoud, OK, was born January 3, 1931, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Landes & Dovie (Hoover) Horton. She left this life on Sunday, November 30, 2014, in McLoud, OK. Irene was a dietician at Mercy Hospital retiring after 20 years. She was an awesome cook and loved to read and play board, card and dice games. Irene was known for her wit and her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James, 2 sons, Robert & Donald, 2 daughters, Glenda & Rhonda, 3 brothers, Joe, Fred & Landes and 3 sisters, Marjorie, Helen & Doris. Survivors include her son, James Fleming, McLoud, OK; 4 daughters & sons-in-law, Deborah & Larry Ethridge, McLoud, OK, Dovie Thurkettle, Mustang, OK, Theresa Lewis, Sulphur, OK, Beverly & Daniel Novich, Norman, OK; daughter-in-law, Donna Fleming, Dunnellon, FL; sister & brother-in-law, Donna & Bob Ridle, Davis, OK; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the McLoud Nursing Center and Hospice Quality Care for their loving care. Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Oran Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Dripping Springs Cemetery, Noble, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
