Estelle Ashcraft

Estelle Ashcraft was born on April 10, 1921, in Mt. Vernon County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. Estelle, the daughter of David Jesse and Bertha Mae (Strong) Childress, was a resident of Shawnee at the time of her death, but lived most of her life in Lincoln County. She married Millard Columbus Ashcraft on October 9, 1940, in Shawnee. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1993. Estelle was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith. Her parents; one grandson, Brian Scott Burchette; and 7 brothers; 6 sisters; and one great-great grandchild, Hunter Quary, also preceded Estelle in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Cecil and Ruth Ashcraft of Meeker; daughters and sons-in-law, Della and Max Burchette of Meeker, Mildred and Tommy Johnson of Meeker, Mae and Shelby Burchette of Holdenville, Judy Draper and Bill Draper of Tecumseh, Brenda and Robert Hutchcraft of Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Eugenia Childress of Shawnee; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
