Erwana H. Ferrell

Erwana H. Ferrell, McLoud, OK, age 82, was born on January 27, 1927, in Pauls Valley, OK. She was the daughter of Houston C. & Roxie (Hammitt) Harman. She departed this life on Sunday, July 12, 2009, in Oklahoma City, OK. Erwana married Flynn Ferrell in June, 1950. She was a vocational home economics teacher, teaching one year at Sentinel Schools, one year at Hammond Schools and 29 years at McLoud Schools. Erwana was a member of the First United Methodist Church, McLoud, OK, and the Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and catering. Erwana was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Flynn. Survivors include 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Bruce & Betty Ferrell, Los Angeles, CA, Gary & Linda Ferrell, McLoud, OK; 2 sisters, Dorothy Cassel, El Reno, OK, Doris Huckert, Hereford, TX; brother, H. C. Harman, Jr., Quinlan, TX; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church, McLoud, OK, with Rev. Michelle McCarty officiating. Interment will follow at McLoud Riverside Cemetery, McLoud, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
