OBITUARY: Ernest Shell Lamb Ernest S. Lamb was born in Forgan, Oklahoma on March 29, 1940 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Ernest was the son of Delbert and Mary Louise (Besser) Lamb. He was a resident of Stroud since 2002. Ernest served in the United State Army from 1961 to 1965. He worked for ABF as a diesel mechanic and loved to go fishing and visit with people. He was also a volunteer for Right Path Riding Academy. He married Elizabeth Ann Mensch on February 18, 1965 in Arlington, TX. She preceded him in death December 15, 2012. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one daughter Shelli Elizabeth "Cricket" Brownfield and husband Patrick of Haslet, TX, Brothers LeRoy Lamb of Colorado; Eddie John Kovanas of Owasso, sisters Delores Thompson of Tulsa; Debbie Veit of Bristow; Pat Schonfield of Bristow, OK; Mary Kordish of Pennsylvania, one granddaughter Reagan Elise "Chigger" Brownfield along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial service will be held at the Parks Brothers Chapel on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor James Bond officiating. Services under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
