Ernest James Brandon, Choctaw, OK, age 85, was born on March 23, 1921, in Healdton, OK. He was the son of James Alna & Martha Artha Hogue Brandon. He left this life on May 10, 2006, in Midwest City, OK. Ernest graduated from Sentinel High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1940 to 1941. He then joined the U.S. Navy and served from 1942 to 1945. He married Alta Mae Bransom on November 1, 1943 in Pawhuska, OK, she preceded him in death on November 2, 1986. He later married Betty Harrimon on April 21, 2001 in Harrah, OK. Ernest worked at Tinker first as an aircraft mechanic and later as an aircraft manager. He retired following 33 years of service. He enjoyed metal working, painting, dancing, playing cards and dominoes, was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Harrah senior center. Ernest was also preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Barbara Jo Punneo. Survivors include his wife, Betty Brandon of the home, one son & daughter-in-Law;Ernest James Brandon Jr. & Carol of Choctaw, OK, one son-in-law: James L. Punneo of Choctaw, one Brother; Hubert Brandon of Mathis, TX three step-sons & Step daughter-in-law; Wayland Moore & Tammy of McLoud, Thomas Moore of Broken Bow, Dale Moore of Broken Bow, two step-daughters & son-in-laws;Jewel Moore & Johnny Mares of OKC, Betty Lopez & Diego of Elk City, OK , 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
