Emmie Lee (Kimbrel) Deatherage, passed away on June 17, 2024 in Tuttle, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. Emmie was born on May 10, 1950 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Roy Harley and Goldie Irene (Estep) Kimbrel. She grew up in the Seminole and attended Varnum Schools. She was a 1969 graduate of Varnum High School. Emmie married Robert Deatherage in 1978. Together, they made their home in Seminole and in Holdenville, where they raised their son Chris. Robert preceded her in death in 2005. In 2008, she met Louis Allgood and the couple were together until his passing in 2023. Emmie was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed romance novels and suspenseful novels from Stephen King and Dean Koontz.
Emmie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Deatherage and her companion, Louis Allgood; infant brothers, James and Jerry Kimbrel; her beloved Uncle Earl Kimbrel and two brothers-in-law, Ronny Rush and Don Goodman.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Chris Deatherage and his wife, Betty; two sisters, Billie Goodman and Margaret Rush and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
